This is another comic I made before I knew how to ink properly or to make word bubbles that didn't look like utter sheeit. The background gradient actually looked good at first, but I made it a gif after all the colors were flattened, screwing it up beyond repair. As the second strip, this gets the ball rolling introducing inside jokes about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The guy in the ticket booth was going to be Ted the Bellhop from Four Rooms until I gave him facial hair and changed up his colors. The other characters, from left to right - Willow, Xander, Giles, Spike, Dru, Chris, Jay, Dan, and Mikey. The later four are all creators of Pinfall characters. Mikey is responsible for Maniac, Dan for Psycho, Jay for Tammarico, and Chris for Hype and the whole bloody organization.

And the sign is 100% true.

I’m still trying to figure out why half the XWF staff is buying tickets ;). This was a funny comic, not because of the Buffy references which I don’t get to this day, but because of the Vernon residents who made an appearance. The fact that I’m losing my hat is funny…do I wear that hat to often? Does it matter? Danny Tiene being chubby made me laugh, Tammaro not caring at Drusilla’s claws is great, and Matt’s brother hiding behind the fat kid is the icing on the cake…note the food reference for Danny. This comic was also drawn at the XWF’s peek “food reference” era. This was a good comic because it showed that Matt was preparing to keep other funny subjects alive, not just XWF references. Good idea on his part. I still laugh when I see our reactions. Note: to draw Tammaro now, add glasses and a goatee.
